My dealership over-torqued my oil filter probably by double… maybe triple. This is why I do my own work!

I had my dealer service my Jeep. They kept it for a day and didn't touch it. I took it to an independent. My local dealer is the worst I've come across.
Over torqued it perhaps maybe a little my money's on did not put oil on the Rubber seal ring and oftentimes the owner of the vehicle will do the work when something goes wrong they blame the mechanic that did it last time when they're the ones that did it the last time and unfortunately I know a few of those people
my filter is on the side. I'll pay someone else
You where holding your jaw wrong.
Just tap on the ratchet with a hammer as your turning it loose. Works 95% of the time
My favorite part is those seal with an oring and don’t even have to be tight AT ALL. Literally hand tight is fine
I've never been to an oil change place that didn't do this.
I'll be honest with you they probably didn't use an impact my filter socket for toyota is half inch drive so yeah but that doesn't mean you have to crank on the damn thing most lube techs especially at dealers are young and haven't learned when tight is tight
That wasn’t put on with an impact it was put on with a breaker bar and over tightened
You need more muscle bro ain't no way that plastic that tight
