I've had the worst luck with VW'S. Bought a new 2009 Rabbit, manual transmission drove to 265,000 miles with no problems. Kept for 10 years. Bought a new 2019 VW Jetta with manual transmission with 1.4 turbo. Currently has 153,000 miles and no problems so far and gets 40 mpg in all round driving. I've had such bad luck that I'll probably buy another new VW in 5 years if they still offer gasoline power with a manual transmission. Such pieces of poop.
