I actually just had a great experience selling and buying a car, both private party sales. Sold my truck, the guy paid to have it services I allowed him to. Bought it after he paid 150. I bought a used car, paid 150 to have it looked over, it needed new tires he gave me the cost of new tires off. Well worth it. No issues.

Auto Stop feature on vehicles is another way to damage an engine as far as I'm concerned. I bought a Range module that plugs into the OBD2 port that disables the Auto Stop feature as well as disables the Dynamic Fuel Management feature so that all 8 Cylinders are kept active at all times on my 5.3L Silverado. Hopefully this will help with engine life.

They're making electric vehicles more and more expensive because at some point the other states, and probably the federal government as well, will do like California and pass a law that says only electric vehicles can be sold by a certain date. The same price gouging happened from insurance companies when states started requiring people to have car insurance to get and renew a driver's license. When you have to have it they can charge whatever they want for it.
