FINALLY, somebody said it. This is why I’m subscribed Scotty, keep telling it like it is ✊?✊?✊?
My company required me to take my Dodge Ram 2500 into the dealership for some recall repairs they said it needed. I knew it was a mistake because the truck ran good even with 150 thousand miles. Oil changes and inspection every 5000 miles. After 3 software upgrades to the engine and transmission the truck shifts funny when going uphill and RPMs climb really high. The transmission was rebuilt at 95 thousand miles. Of course the company would not let me change the fluid every 50 thousand miles like I wanted, and the transmission went south. I suspect Dodge was not selling enough engine or transmission repairs so they came up with these software upgrades to destroy them faster. Will try to get the transmission fluid change next oil change. If they decline it I'm going to let it run until it destroys the transmission again. My Chevy Silverodo truck had 200 thousand miles and never a break down other than bad light, and 3 batteries in 3 years. Had transmission fluid changed every 50 k miles. Never a problem . Regular maintenance is the key. But management think differently. By the way I drive 50 to 60 thousand miles a year. I live in this truck so I like things to work.
If those surveys were to be taken seriously, instead of 30 days, 60 days, or 90 days, they would be 30 months, 60 months and 90 months.
