    Panther platform cars are great indeed. But they do have their pattern failure points like most other cars.
    In Panther cars, expect the intake manifold to fail every 80k to 120k miles. Have a transmission rebuild/replacement fund ready at 100k miles. If the engine is pre 2004 expect the cylinder head to blow out a spark plug. If 2006+ be ready for a gauge cluster failure. Other than that they are pretty good.

    I couldn’t kill my 98 civic hitting 3 deers at highway speed or driving with no oil for 10 miles. Sold at 290,000 miles and still on the road.

    The average person just cannot afford to drop hundreds of dollars to take their family to a sporting event whether it be Nascar, MLB or NFL. But go to a dirt track race in a rural area on a Friday night and it is packed because tickets are reasonable and so are the concessions.

    Dear Scotty, I have a 13 honda civic, my fuel indicator stopped indicates the level of fuel. What can it be? The tank is full and says that don't have fuel.

    Nascar could also be affected by the new cars. In the old days young boys would help there dads work on the family car. Later they bought a fixer upper. They knew about cars and were trying to make them go faster. Cars today seldom need maintenance like they did in the old days. Just a lack of interest in cars resulted.
