You're not far off with that solar setup, I have a 200W, similar inverter and battery setup on my overland truck and I'm in it for $2500 in the States. You did good over in kiwi land!
Nice with an update, thanks. Turned out a bit lower than what I expected, considering how nice it is.
Please make more content π
Budget is still pretty decent. Nothing in budget on heating?! Extra diesel or electric heater?
What was the weight of the finished van?
You saved a lot of money and you got higher quality (because you built for yourself). I want to follow and see how you feel after a few months. Are you happy with the insulation? Moisture?
Any updates or projects on the CNC Laser? I really enjoyed that build out.
That is SOOO useful! As with many projects, (CNC LASER CUTTERS for instance π ) it's the little things that blow out the budget. Getting a detailed breakdown like this is great.
Sooo… buy a van, US$13000, throw in the mattress from the spare bed… JOB DONE, total cost US$13000. But wait, some hot water would be nice… π€ π₯΄
Did I hear you say "another project"?… OH GOODY! π π
Ill admit this was way less then I thought it would have been. Just the solar alone I would have wagered a guess closer to $10k Love the build, love the update, not sure I could ever do such a thing as I dont like to travel all that much lol. Cant wait to see the next project you do
