The tennis ball hack only worked on pnuematic central locking. It was something that only worked on certain cars, the UK it was Ford Sierras and Ford Escorts (mk3 and 4s from memory).

I can say that after watching the video I tried the lemon and soda on my sons car. His headlights were very faded and it did work. They aren’t like new which I never expected but are now much clearer than before. Thanks donut media and James!

Pretty sure, at one point that Tennis ball "hack' was tested on Mythbusters. I'm surprised it's still going around.
