You think gas is your ally? You merely adopted it. I was born in it molded by it.

I don't know about you but I always lift the pump hose up when the pump stops. I want all my Texas tee. 😄

hey scotty, at my local gas station when i pre pay i can feel and hear it pumping gas before the pump actually starts reading anything, it’s not long, about 2-3 seconds…is this measured in or a small freebee?

This just shows the IQ level of Scotty's target audience 🙄😒

  5. Jacob Kotowski

I was taught It's so the gas doesn't evaporate as much

I believe the slower setting will let you put more gas in the tank than the faster setting. I believe the auto shut off feature will shut the pump off sooner with the faster flow setting, resulting in LESS gas in the tank.

The faster you fill it the less it will evaporate

Time of day can be a factor, the energy content of a given volume of gasoline changes with temperature. Most tanks are underground and it doesn't change much, but, some are not.

I think the myth is about fumes. The gas that's near the mouth of the filler neck (waiting for the rest of the gas to go down) is releasing fumes. You're paying for those fumes being released into the air
