I kind of disagree on this one. By no means defending dealerships. But, the dealership gave minimal to the person trading it in. If they gave them 1000. they'll turn around and sell it for 5000. So they can/will generally negotiate down a little bit, especially if they're desperate to make a sale. And, you can usually get some kind of warranty, even if it's just 30 days with a dealer as opposed to an as/is through a private sale.

You can finance private sale vehicles easily for good rates. Soo that kind of blows up your argument for haggling the price😁
On that Acura that smoked – why can't you just replace the valve seals. It takes time, but shouldn't it be a straight forward process?
I want to buy a used 2008 to 2011 sequoia. Seems no used cars have service records. If a sequoia has 200 k miles and no service records how do i treat the transmission ? Change it out a few quarts at a time ?? And change the filter ?
Because never changing the transmission means i will never get the 400 k miles i want to get . Help ? What to do
