This is a really good video. Be honest with your mechanic and give him as much info as possible! It will save you money by saving the mechanic time.

Hey Eric just put a battery in it.

I just had one like that, battery tested good 2 times, but kept going dead and I could not fine a draw over 50 ma. But it took about 25 minutes to drop to that level from 700ma. They picked it up and made it home then wouldn't start again. Pulled the battery out and in one I have for testing and everything was fine. Put that battery back on the charger and this time would not take a charge. So just because a battery test good sometimes its still bad.
As far as cheap batteries go I agree but I did buy one of those $50 one year batteries from Wal-Mart around 7 years ago for my old 78GMC and that thing is still going. I say that now but haven't tried to start it in 3 months lol.

Never a stupid video! I love the parasitic draw videos. I’m fighting one now on a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK and your videos are great to get ideas on how to track it down. Keep up the good work!

Another cheapskate customer.. Gimme the cheapest battery, oil, filter, spark plugs, wipers ya got and dont forget the stack of washers. .What a surprise!!

  7. What's That Noise?

I would rate this one "electrifying" but not "shocking" 🙂 Was still good to see how you reached your 'replace the battery' conclusion. Keep 'em coming, Eric. Thank you.

Would keeping the current flow through the battery while connecting the meter be beneficial? I found some components keep latched until you interrupt the battery-supply. Thanks for the videos.
