I don't agree with Scotty on this. Change your fluids early once on a brand new car to get out all the metal filings from the factory. Then go to a normal change interval, like 5k miles for oil.

Those that are using full synthetic oil are just wasting your $$$$, if the vehicle is older…unless your vehicle calls for it, use what the manual states…synthetic blend, would be wiser for an older vehicle..in fact, some newer vehicles call for the blend.. most important thing, is changing the oil according to your driving conditions…3-4,000 miles if alot of stop/go driving…5-7,000 if alot of highway
