With the recent unexpected passing of Pat Goss, MotorWeek lost not just a contributor, but a friend, mentor and an irreplaceable pillar of our program. Now out of respect, we will soon be retiring the Goss’ Garage feature, but Pat left us with a few remaining unaired segments, and we know he would want to share them with you. So, here’s Pat with a few tips for when your rockers start to rust.

RIP Pat Goss. Thanks for all the dedication and education for millions of viewers whom you helped become car enthusiasts over the years. You will be missed!
Rest In Peace Mr. Goss
My condolences. 🙏
I remember growing up watching motorweek in the 80s and 90s as a child…. Pat Goss segments were highly influential in me deciding to make a career out of being a mechanic/technician. He lived a great long life and will be missed

Thank-you for your passion Mr Goss… you will be missed… Godspeed good sir… 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 RIP…
I sure will miss old Pat Goss he was my favorite on motor week
🙁
I’m not super familiar with Pat Goss outside of the few clips I’ve seen on YouTube (since my bastard PBS station doesn’t air MotorWeek on ANY of its FOUR CHANNELS) so I don’t know Pat’s legacy as well as other fans. I still know he was important to a lot of viewers with the few videos I’ve seen and it’s still incredibly tragic he passed away. He’s definitely going to be missed. I’m sad I didn’t even know until two weeks later.
You take an old license plate and screw on the side of the car.
