Since im not a legit mechanic ig I'm a back yard mechanic ? I want learn how to run my own spot. I own thousands of dollars of tool I've rebuilt my 350. family and friends and their friends I fix all there cars I get side business working on cars . I got a head start but what steps do I take to become legit and open up a spot. I am a class A semi driver and ig a back yard mechanic during my free time. I want to do what I love . work on cars and be my own boss one day . I hate sitting in a truck all day. I still have stuff to learn to be a master , but I don't know the right steps to take . My uncle was a legit mechanic , but he passed I'm 24 he taught me a lot just didn't have enough time w him to get these answers. I don't want to be consider a back yard mechanic and I know this field is for me. I'm good at what I do and love it. Just need know how to pursue it. Love your videos man. I've watched a few of your videos before doing a job please keep posting. I love the knowledge . I have a few OBD2 readers I would like to get a professional reader and really learn how to into diagnostic besides obd2 . I mainly do engine work pullys valve cover leaks ect and suspension like hub bearings breaks ball joints A arm or control arms tune ups . I would like to be a master mechanic. I appreciate your wisdom . I would love to hear more from you and others too.

No it's not worth being a mechanic. By the time your even able to make a decent living I could be a master plumber at that rate

I started of as a porter at a dealership basically they need something done u do it , then went into oil and tires than mechanic helper than master mechanic, my own bay tools and helping others learn. Once u hit master mechanic with experience dam that money flows like a river. But never thought i would end up fixing cars and wouldn't change a thing, and once people fid out u fix cars yikes 🤣🤣🤣 but love seeing people get their car back all fixed and there smiles
