Hey Scotty have you had experience with any Dodge Challenger Scat Packs?
I had a mint condition 62,000 mi. ‘92 Lebaron. In ‘08 when I got out of hospital, my Dads neighbor, a retired Chrysler worker passed, and It was given to me. Flipped it 2015, with 89,000 miles. After 3 starters, new gas tank , rebuilt front suspension, new timing belt, bad shocks, rusted rear quarters you could see the street from inside the trunk. Scotty this was the car, I told you the RainX washer fluid froze in. I pushed snow at GM proving grounds, The car handled well in many hard snows, it just rotted to the core, and was expensive to maintain.
STEERING WHEEL SQUEAKING OR RUBBING NOISE!! If the sound is near the fire wall more down towards the floor of the car It is usually the metal steering shaft rubbing against a rubber bushing (grommet/seal) where the shaft goes through the fire wall into the engine compartment. Spraying it with wd-40 will usually do the trick. Sometimes you have to spray then move the wheel side to side then spray again. After a few times it should stop the squeaking. Even better is to take some silicone grease and work it in with a qtip or similar. If the noise is at the top of the steering wheel it may likely be the Clock Spring. DO NOT wait if the noise gets worse, you do not want the clock spring to fail, it will cause allot of problems such as the air bag light to come on (air bag may not deploy in a crash), steering wheel switches to stop working (no turn signals and or wipers), cruise control to stop working. I use a stethoscope and they are cheap to buy and can be very helpful it tracking down the source of the noise. Have someone turn the wheel from side to side for you if need be. It isn't plastic or it would make a scraping noise. Old age? Good Grief! If the noise is coming from outside the car then it is in the outer steering shaft or somewhere in the suspension but I think you mean you hear it inside the car.
Had 3 Rams 1989 2011 and a 2016 and have loved them….. With no major issues.
