In this video we have a look at a Chevrolet Silverado that has had the Ziebart undercoating sprayed on it every year since it was new. In our experience here in the salt belt this type of rubberized undercoating WILL DESTROY your vehicle. Unfortunately this vehicle will not make it past ten years old before the frame is completely rotted in half, despite the customer doing what he thought was right. Be sure to do your research folks before applying any type of “coating” under your vehicle.

Holy shit! I live in an area in Norway with similar salty conditions and was going to order some rubberized undercoating for my Impreza… I just stumbled upon this video and I just have to say thank you! You really saved my car! I'm learning so much from your videos. I'm extremely grateful that you make these videos, man. Keep doing what you're doing 😀

in theory these rubber undercoting sound great. but the minute a rock or something breaks it or cracks it, water gets in and has no where to get out. so it rusts under neath the undercoat. stealerships always try to sell you this "pernament " under coating when in reality, it doesnt do great and pisses away money. a simple oil spray underneath the car from a reputable garage is all you need. do it every winter and shouldnt have to worry about the underside rusting

Excellent info. Thank goodness here in Australia there's no such thing as snow – well almost none – so no salt on the roads.

This video should be called: Why you must undercoat your car by professionals. That just horrible aplication.

Rust requires O2 if it is sealed how is it rusting underneath? IT had to be sprayed over a vehicle that was already rusting.
