You are speaking fact, as always. I know exactly what you're talking about. I have been doing this stuff for 33 years. This shit isnt cheap. I have gotten to where I don't do work for just anyone. When I bought the headliner bows for a 1967 GTO it was $100 for a new set of 5. They didn't sell just individually. I have gotten to where I enjoying my drag racing, doing chassis set, roll cages, and stuff like that more than doing body and paint work for customs. That is why I only deal with certain people anymore.
I really enjoyed this video. It's remarkable how moving a testimonial based in fact can be. Thanks.
He might blow a gasket at any moment! lol
The only bad thing and while the fenders look great they’re 66. The corner in which it meets the T bar on 67 are different than a 66. In 67 when the Tbar chrome was added the fender corner was made 1/2 bigger.
If you're thinking of restoring a car, you really need to listen to what Pete is saying. They bleed you. There seems to be no end to the parts or the cost.
Bad thing when you restore a car you never get back out of it what it cost to restore a car 40 thousand to restore a 30 thousand dollar car is always a losing situation.
Don't bother with restoration, unless you can do it yourself.
My friend Pete, this video is basically an example of why I am doing a not so extensive diy not even really restoration but just try to get my chevelle to a point where I'm not ashamed to be seen in it and reasonable safe car. Not to mention I love working on my car, because it's mine. I would not enjoy the work if it belonged to someone else. Thanks again for your content it's a big help to someone that doesn't know how to do bodywork or paint.
you are so right its sick
i preach the same to my customers at Cappel's Auto Restorations
