Repairing Rodent Damaged Fuel Injector Harness 2008 GMC 2500HD

In this video I repair the fuel injector harness on my 2008 GMC 2500HD. Apparently mice hate trucks but they love to eat the coating on the wiring. I had a rodent of some sort chew up some wiring so I had to repair the wiring so I could use the truck. They did leave behind some empty acorn shells though so I hope the accommodations were NOT to their liking.

I did spray a rodent deterrent that my local NAPA store recommended so I’ll see how that goes.

Peppermint spray, those old GM wires are rumored to be made with soy and that's why the rodents like them so much.

3 to 1 shrink tube twist the wires together and slide it over. Makes for super clean work and it’s a must for anything 2010 and newer multiplex electrical.

Nice job. Good tips. As for tips, what sauce do you prefer with your soybean car harnesses? LOL 😂

rodents/squirrels and wiring is the worse. Thankfully it was out in the open to see it. Hope no more mess with it. Didn't know about the soy based coating so now it makes sense. Thanks for sharing!
