We continue to repair the clearcoat on this 21 year old car. Today we start the sanding/scuffing process before masking the remainder of the car.

That`s the same color as my car but the clear coat is worse on mine. It`s ugly, not sure to wet sand it though. Will probably re-apply new clear coat over it so it`s protected anyway.

I still don't understand if the clearcoat failing phenomenon is due to the poor quality of the paint or instead is due to improper washing techniques, like automatic car washes or using by hand harsh chemicals to remove tree sap or bird droppings, for example.
