I try to fix my car myself because I don't trust shops anymore. My first car was a 94 Mustang and I had no idea how to do anything myself on it, and shops saw that and decided to rip me off every time, so I started studying how to troubleshoot the CEL codes and fix problems myself, well that plus I think it is fun to do myself and it gives me a good feeling about myself after I have fixed it all by myself.

Please for the love of all that is Holy, please use jackstands.  They only cost about 20 bucks.  Oh get a 1/2 inch breaker, it will literally make you into a He-Man.  You can hoist it up and proclaim "I HAVE THE POWER!!"
