I use to change my oil myself when I was younger but now that I am a senior citizen I take it and have it done. however I do miss doing it myself that way I knew it was getting done right. it's hard to find a good honest mechanic nowadays.

    So useful! thanks!
Do you have extra tips for people driving lots of miles per a day (e.g. 100 miles a day)?

Thanks Robert for the REALLY quick response again. I agree about checking the oil frequently, It wasn't my car it was my girls. So now I am checking every weekend. When the oil was low I asked her when did she last get it changed? and Who did it.. So now that is my job to check the levels and I will take your advice and do it weekly and after every service. Also when I had my S60 oil changed the guy told me the oil pan plug is stripped, May I ask you opinion on the EcoPlug oil plug replacement? https://www.amazon.com/ECO-PLUG-DAMAGED-Aluminum-14mm-18mm-Diameter/dp/B01LX3CGZ3/ref=sr_1_6?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1518967565&sr=1-6&keywords=eco+plug+oil+drain+plug

It would allow me to not drop the pan and replace it like in your video – Thanks again YOU ROCK!

I love all of Robert videos…great car care tips. I own 3 vehicles and all have over 100K miles and different maintenance schedules. So I use Automotive Wolf vehicle maintenance and management software http://www.automotivewolf.com on my laptop to keep track of everything. It creates a great maintenance log for each vehicle and sends me a reminder when anything needs to be checked or serviced. Simply keeping up with your cars maintenance schedule will save you thousands of dollars in repairs.
