I guarantee i would have put a 4sd in that car….He will never need more than that in my opinion….
AMERICAN POWER SHIT is over engineering to the point it sucks….i would buy that from the owner and rent a power hammer and smash every part of it into 500 million pieces 🎉

silver sport transmissions channel shows you how to index a bellhousing to the block…. I used that video, did it how they said installed the proper offset dowels and my car runs and shifts great.
Don't know why you put yourself through this BULLSHIT. Restore it and put the transmission it is meant to have A GM 4 SPEED
You could put that crate motor in hooked to the 4 spd and be done.

Stop putting parts for newer cars in these classic..How many years you have wasted over and over…tell these owners stick to Original parts.
It's so easy to get upside down when doing full rebuilds….especially when you don't really want to be doing that stuff. Stick to the body work and paint Pete….that's what your best at….Cheers
