I'm from Canada and the stop/start on my 2018 Grand Cherokee disables if the outside temperature is too low. Been -35 celcius here all this week and I haven't had to disable stop/start at all. It's odd because the manual doesn't list outside temperature as a factor of auto disabling stop/start but it says it is on the screen when it's cold.

So Scotty, your telling Toyota doesn’t practice lean manufacturing and has a stock of these chips… ?

Scotty,Scott, have a 2015 Nissan Altima that until recently was getting around 30 miles to the gallon city usage. It's the basic 4 cylinder,s version.I've changed the oil regularly and put a brand new air filter in it.Should I get a tuneup on it or is there anything else I can do to get better mileage? I know you're not a big fan of the Altima but so far for the most part,it's been a good car.

When Toyota first started making cars, they studied how the Detroit Big 3 make cars and then changed the way they make cars at their plants to improve the quality & reliability of the cars. This is why they are so much better then the American brands. The American brands are more interested in profits which is they make the smaller cars cheaper and find ways to cut costs such as using plastic. Also the American brands don't want to built them very well because that in a few years it will break down and you will buy another car from them

That range may suffer a little when the vans are loaded with cargo or people. 125 miles is good for local deliveries and such but I doubt they’ll meet the claims. That’s often a struggle with empty EVs. A hybrid system would’ve made more sense to me aside from additional costs.
