I bought a 2020 car with a manual transmission. No start / stop nonsense!!
2018 escape has a button as well. After 2 years battery died, Ford replaced under warranty. I always shut stop/stop feature off. Keep up the great work.
I installed a stop/start eliminator in my 2019 Highlander that reverses the button. Best thing I ever bought !
are there any cars now being made that do not have stop start tech? I find it most annoying and will never buy a car with it again, I would rather buy a good used vehicle without this crap

You can defeat any such system. ARP Stage One tune for a 2020 Tiguan makes the system default to the last position when you start the car, as it should be. 2015 F-150 ecoboost: Must pull the switch out and short the terminals together in the pigtail. Problem solved. There is always away around it.
VW used to be the worst of the worst. Now they're excellent. Mercedes-Benz used to be the best of the best. Now they're garbage. Toyota is a mixed bag anymore. You just never know.
Those Mitsubishi small trucks are the same thing as the Dodge D50. So if you can't get a part for Mitsubishi's try the dodge D50.
