The ONE time o can fully disagree with you on this Scotty, your the greatest mechanic, BUT, that has happened to me, Yeah, try telling ppl to see if it'll go in reverse BEFORE you need a new transmission, cuz 9 times outta 10, it's a cracked automatic clutch in the transmission pan. FACTS.
Ive worked on some cars where the shift linkage was out of wack
Scotty this happened to me one time, turned out my car had sheared one of my CV joints in half!
CVT transmission run off of fluid pressure a lot more than others.
It's a simple fix. NEVER buy a car you can't push, or tow! Long live the manual transmission!
To check oil in automatic tranny, warm engine warm to normal running temperature. leave running, do a check,wipe off and check again. some older models you can check when cold. thanks scotty
Hea scotty my mazda has 105thousand miles should I replace the filter & fluid ? Runs great though.
