No primer necessary? Odd but I will try

Hi Mike – from my email – I’ve watched a bunch of your videos regarding repairing stone chips but I feel like I would have to use multiple methods and I’m getting a little overwhelmed with putting the steps together, so I’m hoping you could offer up some assistance.

I have two stone chips that have rust – one of which is on the edge of the hood. A few others are smaller and not down to bare metal.

What would be the recommended steps for each? Would it be easier to do the bondo/template/aerosol method or the touch up paint brush method? If I did the template/aerosol method on the two rusted ones, would I need to use a primer before the bondo putty? Or could I use rustoleum rust reformer instead of scraping out the rust? I apologize for the loads of questions, I just can’t figure out which methods to use for them.

Does the wax remove the edges from the paint? Do you have to use Blenz or some other product?

What did that can of pre mixed spray paint cost you from the shop? did you mean to say clear coat was in there also or hardener? doesn't seem like clear coat would work mixed with the paint.

Is ot possible to use a paint pen at the end instead of spraying?

Would you recommend to use this method with the glazing putty to fill in the stone chips? Or a method you used in your other videos just by filling them in with paint?
