I had a 1957 Chevrolet panel van, when I pulled the windshield out of it there were some minor rust and holes in the frame for the seal on the outside.. I use this stuff to fill it in.. you forgot to mention that you can sand it and shape it… Then you can seal it with your primer or undercoating..😉 thank you Pete keep up the good work..
Have An old 90s wrangler that had some pinholes in the floor pan. I wasn’t ready to replace the it yet and it had plenty of life left. But I wanted to stop the rust. I covered it in Naval jelly and then wire brushed any rust that was left. Then pasted over it with JB Weld. Worked like a freaking charm
Pete, please wear some eye protection when under things, fingers without gloves not as important. Thanks for your great demos!
Best my friend Pete video yet. A kinder gentler body man. Well done sir.
Got me a tee Pete and Minnie 😃😃
Hey, I painted my underside and wheel wells with 2k gloss black paint. Will the wheel wells hold up or should I shoot a truck bed liner in wheel wells? If yes are any of the 1k spray cans any good?
Thanks, my friend Pete. Nice tip!
how does sandblasting " kill " the rust? rust is a chemical reaction.
If you have surface rust and get most of it off with some 100 sandpaper and or wire brush you dont have to get all of it but there is a rust converter called plastic -kote and goes on white but will turn black when it srys and then you can use a glazing putty to fill and smooth out the area and primer the area then paint and rust wont come back.
Another good vid Pete . I discovered similar stuff here in the uk . Loctite 3479a and 3479b exactly the sane snd after I welded up my 1973 Vw squareback sills, I noticed very small pinholes in the Sean’s.So I used this stuff and rubbed it down and painted and wel impressed .But ideal for little repair and not major rust !!
