The problem is NO BODY CAN FIND CHARLIE LOL!
Be aware that on a number of late 80s to mid 90s there is an issue with the connection to the alternator being poorly made and a wire will lose connectivity, causing the truck to just die. I saw it on the I6 early to mid 90s. Probably not related to your issue but an odd issue that several mechanics missed.
