    GM should start a program; whereby, they bring-in the best mechanics, from around the country and put them on the assembly line. This program would have 2 goals: 1) Since these mechanics have to fix shoddy workmanship, they would make sure that it was assembled right. 2) Give the mechanics the opportunity to give input on how to better the quality of the assembly line. But this won't happen. Why? 'Cause GM knows the GOV'T (i.e. – taxpayers) will bail them out, just like they did the banks.

    One of the side effects of a US automaker going bankrupt and bailed out by the government is that those companies will get buying preference on government fleet purchases. My friend with the army corps of engineers got a bailout RAM 1500 for work with a crappy V6 and other issues. He really felt he'd be better off driving his personal one ton duramax on the job!
