    My guess is that it will take several years for car manufacturing to increase, and we haven't yet hit the bottom. Hopefully, we will have seen the folly of depending on other countries for critical raw material and manufacturing. We need to bring back manufacture of vehicle and equipment parts and components and not just assemble things. We also need to revitalize our electronics industry. Raw materials will be problematic as minerals are only found in certain geographic locations. Maybe the Glomar Explorer should actually look for manganese nodules on the ocean floor this time.

    VW decided not to sell cars in Russia they could not make anyway. The reason they did this was to support the Na2l's in the Ukraine conflict. You can't take the Na2l SS out of a Germans.

    I've got a crazy idea on how to mitigate this problem. We should become much less dependent upon countries like China and Russia! We need to slow the production of EV's and make good, reliable petroleum fueled vehicles in this Country using American materials to the greatest extent possible. What do you think, could we pull it off?
