What about steel wheels? Are they any good when you have this much power?

My buddy jumped in my recently aquired 97 Honda Accord and the first thing he said is "man I kinda miss the simplicity of older cars like this" and I couldn't agree more.

I remember when you could get a nice bare bones utility pickup truck for half what you'd pay for a normal car. I just was driving past the auto lot and all the pickups are twice the cost of the cars!!? What happened to the basic utility pickup? Pickups now are more luxurious than Cadillac of ten years ago; what gives!!?

The only things I cherished on my old car is the manual choke. I used it like cruise control.

Can’t someone make a simple car anymore? I’ll bet they would be a huge hit with the public. By the way, my Ford is 71 years old and runs like a top. The few problems I’ve had with it were easy to fix in my garage.

When I was making a monthly 100 mi. highway commute taking my Ma to visit my Sis, I got better MPG with the windows down and the A/C off. But then again, it was a '93 Dodge Dynasty with a V-6 Mitsubishi engine. [Wink.] JMO.

If I could buy a new car that has zero computers in it I would. Unfortunately everything has to have computer electronics because the government has to control everything and be able to test your car.
