    If you're going to sell your car to a friend at the same price the dealer is giving you, I have one BIG consideration that may apply to you, depending on your state. Sales tax. With your trade-in, you do not pay taxes on the value of the trade in. My last trade in was for $11,500. That took over $500 off the sales tax when taxed on only the remaining balance. Hence, to not lose, in my case I would need to sell it for $12,000 to break even.

    It's interesting that there are some youtubers that have done a complete flush of the automatic transmission fluid on 1990's vintage cars and they claim that the fresh new fluid makes their transmission shift better.

    Estate sales oh ya.A friend knew i liked 50's buicks.His great aunt died who had bought new in 55 a 2 dr hardtop buick super blue and white 66,857 miles.I bought it for you are not going to believe this $75.

    The transmission fluid shuffle I've heard of consists of swapping out 30-50% of the old fluid with new fluid.
