Which do I prefer ? Toyota
I bought a 2016 KIA Optima & it died when idling or while driving & the dealer and the factory had no fix at the time. So I traded it for a Toyota RAV4 & traded that after Toyota would not cover the moon roof explosion on a car that only had 7200 miles. Bought a 2020 Santa Fe & so far, so good. However, I bought my wife a 2019 Kona that is being recalled for bad piston rings. We have an appt with the dealer in about a week & they'll supposedly will tell us if the engine needs replacing or they're to install an engine noise-sensing device (huh?).

DON'T BUY Yundai 🧸
I decided to buy it in 2016 because it was extremely cheap compared to Toyota and Nissan.
These days, Hyundai and Kia are expensive without the Japanese quality
Nothing but garage. They have been selling death traps. For decades.
