Never had any probs with a Honda, V tech ones I've owned have treated me extra well. Im in New Zealand and some cars you have focused on, the Kiwi models have usually fared better than what you tell us about the US versions. Point of manufacture playing a vital role in these outcomes it transpires.
2017 civic made in Canada, had parking brake issues since I got it used at 45k miles and 3 thousand dollars later its still not fixed. Honestly looking to sell it for something older

Honda has an extended warranty on all 1.5 turbo engines and the ac compressors. Nothing ppl should have to worry about. Honda will take care of it all
I bought a 2010 Honda Civic Lx coupe from an old lady a few years ago. I had 52,000 miles on it… 5 years later, I now have just over 204,000 miles. Only problem i had was replacing the motor mount. Its my daily and lots of hwy driving.

2018 Honda Civic Si couple 1.5L turbocharged is the best Honda I’ve ever owned. It did have a ac issue at 26k miles that was fully covered with their warranty. Aside from everyone and their grandmother trying to race me it’s still my favorite. I didn’t buy a Honda Civic to race people. That’s what the grand national is for. Previous Honda’s were 08 civic coupe and 2001 civic sedan both LX. All 3 cars manual transmissions. Parents had a 94 Honda Civic which I believe they only made that model that year only good car still see em out there today. My 2nd gear in the 2001 went after 180k miles of ABSOLUTE abuse. I raced that car red line power shift tires screeching literally all day every day every stop sign and stop light like I had something to prove. It surprised a lot of people on the road being it was a manual with me driving it and with the 1.7L car being only 2500lbs it really moved for what it was. I took the car off road jumped log piles with it and it even did hill climbs going where big dodge diesels can’t go. Proper tires help lol. That car died when I tried to go through a flooded street with a few feet of water twice. It made it the first time but not the second time when I tried going through with some speed. Had I watched Scotty‘s video about going in water I would’ve thought twice! The 8th gen 2008 civic was a flawless car too had I not wrecked it. I beat that car senseless too and it always took it like a champ. My 2018 Si civic is my favorite I’ll keep it for 20 years and then throw a big turbo k20 in her 🙂
