Love these educational videos! If I had to pick between the two, I'd take the Golf cause it's faster. I like Honda styling better though. Overall I'd keep my Focus ST over all of em 😁
For dependability…..I'll Take a Japanese car over a German car….any day.
I was an owner of VW Golf mk5 2005 model, with 1.6 L FSI engine. This car was a disaster. Electronics was breaking down every single week. I was afraid to travel 50 kilometres away from home and this car had only 125.000 kilometres.
Now i am a happy owner of VW Golf Mk2 1986 model, with 1.3 litre engine and a carburetor.
No electronics, no complicated stuff but this thing can go everywhere.

The 6th generation civic has 106 Whorepower. That's right. Scotty is never wrong. It's around the 7:03 mark.
I still think that the CVCC engine was one of the best ever built. My sister had a civic with a CVCC and that thing got 50 MPG, never broke down and you could use the cheapest gas you could find, I mean you could almost pee into the tank and it would run. The downside was that they were terrible rust buckets . I swear they rusted 5 minutes after you drove it off the lot.
When every car becomes FWD I will never drive again.
Civic any day, I had a Golf and it was a nightmare.
In their commercial, Volkswagen claims their car is better then the Honda Civic because turbo comes standard where on the Civic you have to pay extra
I bought a VW passat station wagon new in 1975 It blew a bearing in the motor the first day of ownership After that it had a broken throttle cable three times over 10 years Apart from that it was a great car…..
I'll pick a VW Golf over a Honda Civic any day…save for the durability and reliability issues…sigh.
