Love this video, these are my two favorites cars. I bought a 2017 Volkswagen Golf Wolfsburg brand new with a 1.8T and a 6 speed. It’s such a riot to drive, throws you back in your seat and gets 42MPG highway. Great in the snow with its weight distribution and stability control. Plenty of cargo room. It really is the perfect all rounder. I had it for over 4 years 40,000 miles, haven’t spent a penny on repairs just standard maintenance. I’m still amazed with how quick and agile it is especially in the Rocky Mountains. The Civic is also an awesome car, I learned how to drive a manual in my dad’s 91 Civic. Which had 340,000 miles on it, today he has a 06 Civic for the last 15 years with a cool 200,000 miles.
Hey Scotty, I got a 2001 golf gti 1.8 20 valve turbo, its done 156000 miles and manages to be a reliable daily driver for me (26000 miles in 10 months) still on original turbo. I also have a 1995 (mk3) gti project being rebuilt. (almost as old as your Celica 😀 )
As a guy whose equinox blew up because of bad maintenance and now is shopping for a new car and to find tips on maintenance this channel has been a godsend. Love you Scotty!
