Today I did the first oil change on my 2012 Nissan 370Z!
I went with Mobile 1 Synthetic Oil: $28.68
And the K&N HP 1008 Oil Filter: $12.58
The car had a fresh oil change when I bought it, and I have driven 3,500 miles since then. I should be able to run 5k on this synthetic.
The oil change was very simple. 16, 10mm bolts to remove the under tray. Then just remove the oil drain plug, 14mm, and remove the oil filter. After everything is drained, put the new filter and drain plug in. Fill it up with 5 quarts of oil. A little more than 5 quarts came out. But checking the dip stick, level was within the 2 dots. Maybe like 40% above the bottom one. So It should be good.
* After checking the oil the next day on flat ground. It was spot on. So 5 quarts in looks to be perfect *

You put like 50 miles on it a week!?!? I'm shocked how the miles add up though!!
I've got an Infiniti G37 (same engine as the 370z), and its the same amount of a pain in the ass to do the oil change since it also has those 16, 10mm bolts that you have to remove. In terms of intervals, I do 5,000 Miles and my car currently has right around 70,000 miles on it as of right now.
Ebay filter and 20w50 Gulf Western
