WHY? I C E cars have never been smoother, cleaner, quieter More oil than well ever neef..There is no reason on earth for electric driven cars.
Ummm, what average person in the USA has $80,000 to $150,000 to buy a Tesla or the other car that was mentioned? I think consumers would rather buy a home to live in then a Tesla. Except of course if you are dating Elon Musk, and get a high end one given to you for free.
I would need a minimum of 450 miles due to where family lives. When looking at age and weather maybe 550 miles.
In Interstellar, the robots TARS and CASE said their power supply was good for 500 years. I wonder what such a power supply would be based on, and how large, given they are not huge robots. This the kind of power supply we need to achieve.
In 1828 they had a 3 wheel electric car in europe then in 1858 they had a ICE car that went 50 miles. Ford came along in 1908 with the model T that could go 40 miles on a tank. In the early 50s cars still had babbitt bearings in their engines that needed rebuilding every 30,000 miles. I think EV's are doing really well compared to the slow progess of ICE engined cars. Before we privatized space and made Elon a billionaire NASA returned $14 for every dollar invested. Get them on the payroll again and ditch the greed. They already know how to make batteries that last a thousand years. They are low voltage for spacecraft but they invented a ton of stuff we use every day so I'm sure they can make better batteries.
Median range of gasoline powered automobiles is just over 400 miles, and you’re complaining about that being a problem in electric vehicles? WTF
