Tesla is only one type of EV. For buyers with solar panels at home, EVs costs are even less.

Remember to preserve battery life they say to keep the battery between 80% and 20% so that means 40% of your battery that you can't use. So that's more like 120 miles per stop.

Love your videos Scotty, but I'm guessing there's those that don't like…..Elon Musk first off. lol!

You didnt calculate maintenance like oil and brake changes, possibilities of engine problems or transmission problems in the gas and hybrid cars.

We ordered our model y long range in august 2021 when it was much cheaper and got delivery a month ago. Paid 55k, after registering the car with the state we had to pay taxes of $3,500. Cost us $150 to put in the nema 14-50 outlet in our garage. Total price of the model y cost us $58,650 roughly $59k. We drive 35-45 miles a day and cost us $1-$1.75 a day to charge at home at .20 KWH rate. It would be much cheaper if it were our original kWh rate of $.09. Total cost of ownership would have been much higher if we selected our alternatives which were a Lexus rx350 and Acura mdx. These require premium gas, oil changes, transmission fluid flush, brake pads rotors to be cut more often as tesla has one pedal driving where electric motor just slows down the wheels with regenerative braking to put more power into the batteries. You rarely need new brakes on a tesla. Not to mention other services and 2,500 moving parts that need to be replaced or fixed on an ICE vehicle. Teslas only have 20 or so moving parts.

Model Y is the safest vehicle you can buy with lowest roll over % at 7% with next best at 14% and reinforced frame for frontal and side crashes. Even beats out the Subaru. Technology and software is world class, so much things you can do with your tesla. Through the tesla app you can do just about anything. We even leave the charger plugged in when we’re done driving for the day and have the charging scheduled to start during off peak hours for even cheaper charging.

Autopilot causes no fatigue for hours of road trip, one pedal driving, I cannot go back to an ice car again, silent efficient high performance, I can go on and on. It literally feels like I’m driving a spaceship that glides us to our location.

Long road Trips just type in your destination in the Navi and tesla will calculate and plan your route for you with very accurate battery % left when you arrive at your next super charging station or destination. No one charges 100% so usually we drive 150 miles or less and then charge up to 85% at the super charger which takes 35 min. Watch YouTube or Netflix and time flies just stretch your legs as no one drives 300-500 miles straight shot. There is also camp mode which is great. Our model y has hepa airfilter which even filters out biohazards and you can run camp mode to even sleep in your tesla! It shuts off certain components and keeps on others just for camping. Drains something like 10% for 8 hours while you sleep, cooling or heating.

We absolutely love our model y and Elon gets it just like Steve Jobs did when building the mac computers, iPhone, and the iPads. Build what people love and those are the only products I can say I truly love and obsess about!

My gas spenditures are way lower then that. Before January 20, 2020. An easy 3000 miles plus in an mouth. I was all over the place. Now just over 1000 miles an year unless I go to my property. 935 miles one way. That's now becoming only 2 times a year. Well over all of this. I hate staying home 24/7 because of prices. Everything is expensive. Leads to now what. Tired of waiting for adults to run everything. Only two years running the planet. They are two year olds. Their age is the only thing that says they are adults.

Not a fair comparison you should’ve compared cars to cars not car to SUV

24.9 cents per kWh is high…I pay 7.5 cents. The adverage cost per kWh in the US is 15.46.
