Do people just not push inward on the plug while removing it anymore? Just gotta be quick and smooth once you let up.
Buying a cheap roll of plastic drop cloth from a painter and some spare cardboard comes in handy for the inevitable fuck up trying to avoid getting splashed and thus getting splashed to hell n back. Laminar flow and hot oil is a bitch lmao. Your driveway and wife will thank you later on.

Both are terrible methods and it’s a silly design anyways! Why not have a button valve which opens in the middle as you unscrew the outside? 🤷🏼♂️

I use electric ratchet on removal. Just keep pressure pushing it forward until feel threads jumping fully out. Then quickly move it out the way.
