Rev up your engines… but not while starting the car.
I accidentally did that once, 'was about to hop out. Since I was holding stuff on my right hand, I used my non dominant left hand to turn the key to off, turned it the wrong way (to start). ?
My '95 SL Saturn has always revved the engine when I turn the key and it starts without my touching the accelerator. I'll have to watch–maybe it gives it 3-4 seconds before it revs for anothre15-15 secs.
A lot of modern cars prevent you from starting the car a second time unless you turn the key off first
