My motorcycle has been at the mechanics literally ALL SUMMER long. I told him when I took it in this spring that I wasn’t in a hurry.
I was thinking it might take a week or so. It’s been there 4 months.
Well that's not always a good idea telling your mechanic the truth about what happened to your car. When I did, five minutes later the cops were slapping on the cuffs. ??

Customer comes in with a list of $3,500 in repairs recommended by the dealer? That happens in other industries too. One time I walked by a new dentist office in a strip mall. The sign in the window said “walk-ins welcome for a free exam.” I go in for my free exam and come out with a list of things I needed done totally a lot of money at that time (early 1970s). I get home and make an appointment at my regular dentist. I get to my regular dentist. He does a quick check and then says to the dental assistant “why is he here?” She said I don’t know. I told him what the mall dentist said. He said that I didn’t have anything that needed to be done other than a cleaning.
Scotty, people try number 2 in any business. When I was in mortgage lending people would tell me they had great credit like I wasn’t gonna pull their credit report and see all their past due accounts and collections & late payments!! Some people think life is a poker game and they can bluff their way thru anything ???
