Really really rev up your engines! Police don’t pay for gas! Hook up exhaust vent, open garage door with car idling! Nah, natural selection, spark arrestors in the Park you maniacs! ?. But I’m getting 0 mph idling in place?

SCOTTY PLEASE REPLY! GET THIS TO THE TOP PLEASE. I drive a 2013 Honda Accord ex-l 4 cylinder CVT transmission with 75k miles. About 10,000 miles ago my car began burning extreme amounts of oil. Equal to or over 1 quart per 1,000 miles. Honda says that this "falls within their tolerances and is completely normal' however I strongly disagree. Before this my car never burnt a drop of oil. I am at a complete loss what to do and cannot financially recover if I have to replace the engine or transmission if it fails. What is your advice? I have read online that some people experienced the same issue around the same mileage and changed out their PCV valve and it helped the issue.

    Many thanks if you reply.

    Scotty: Rev up your engines!

Japanese cars are made to idle they do it most of their life

I agree 100%! I hate when I walk through a parking lot past cars with the engine running with the AC blowing. In many cases you can hear the fans under the hood trying to cool the hot engine as best they can. You have constant heat from combustion under the hood with only one or two little electric fans keeping from bursting into flames. Not just the plastic but it's terrible for the rubber Parts as well

So dont idle constantly rev the nuts of the engine

  9. Tony Macaroni

Also idle for extended period overtime can cause cylinder glazing, especially in diesels. Engine designed to run under pressure. Glazing will cause piston rings not be able to remove all oil from cylinder wall and pass inside cylinder, causing burning oil
