Don’t listen to this guy. Totally wrong. Wrong wrong
    Booster car:
    Booster cables: Positive to battery.
    Negative grounded to frame

    Dead car:
    Both cables to battery.

    Have booster car running.

This utilizes the alternator instead of the battery to boost the car.

Though I’ve never had a problem doing it the “wrong” way, I have witnessed what he is talking about.

A coworker went to have her HHR jumped. She realized she lost power steering after the jump. It turns out the power steering relay blew out.

Well this tip is like 30 years too late

Another tip from another mechanic. Always connect the dead car first then the donor car. Electrical surge prevention for the donor as well.

Btw this video is full of crap as a 30 year veteran mechanic those myths were put to bed long ago. Ive never had issues with jumping off a car doing methods other than this video.

Eh idk about this one Scotty, usually I agree with you but show me a diagram of where alternator currents try to run against each other
