For zinc to work as a sacrificial anode on a car, you have to coat the whole car in Zinc. The electronic modules do work, but it has to installed by someone who knows what they are doing and you need a large enough system for the size of the car. Most people cheap out and but a smaller one than they need.

There's a story that back in the day when cars were positive ground, they didn't rust. Corrosive elements are made on the -ve pole. All cars have been -ve ground since the change to 12V electical systems, and you have to wonder why they went one way rather than the other.

Years ago I owned a Landie 109. Land Rover had a brilliant system of strategic oil leaks that kept rust away 😂

The boats movement or flowing salt water through coolant systems produce electricity. Parts deteriorate like a wet cell battery.
