Guess I'm really cheap, cause $300 for a radio head unit is not that cheap.
Yellow top Optima isn't a "crappy" battery. I've had mine for many years and I even had it sitting around at a couple of points in time. Car always started first try even when I would sit in my car without it running playing music with an audio system requiring a decent amount of power and the car would always start. So not sure about that when I never had an issue with it.

A friend of mine was towing a mini pickup behind a motor home, they stopped at some point to get something out of the pickup and accidentally knocked it into 1st or 2nd gear (manual) without realizing it. A couple hundred miles later–yeah the pistons were smashed into the head, the engine was exploded far beyond the 'common' throwing a rod.
