Modern batteries fail without any warning. Start up drive to a store and then nothing. Even a jump start won't help. Had this happen several times. Not like the old days where the starter would start turning over slower and slower and give you warning.

If you going to park something with a battery such as car, motorcycle, or lawnmower for a long time, you should use a battery maintainer. The maintainer will keep the battery from going dead because it will keep the battery charged
Back in the day, we didn't put battery acid into lead acid batteries until they were sold.
