Scotty has a meter for everything. I bet he has a parking meter in his garage. Gotta' fix those cataracts though for night driving….new Lenses required.

  2. Che Cook

I put HID's in my 4runner and love them. Tons of deer in my area. The key is to properly realign them. Never been flashed.

    Excellant vlog

In all fairness though didn't Scotty upgrade the bulbs in his Matrix? So maybe the 2007 really isn't any brighter? I just can't stand lifted pick ups with super bright lights at night dang that is so dangerous… You can't see anything coming the opposite way totally blinds the driver ?

It takes so much work to restore a light…its cheaper and faster just to buy a light aftermarket and install it in minutes

They used to be illegal. Until someone paid someone to make them not illegal. It’s all about the money. Sadly. They just don’t need to be that bright. Not for in town. On the highway you can have as bright as the sun if you want as long as no other oncoming cars.

:24 Very cool. I bet you looked really cool back in the day with a flip phone!

Apparently LED lights do not require a little washer for the headlights, not sure why HID do and LED don't but the gubberment seem to think so. Makes it easier to upgrade, and is probably why everyone is moaning about going blind while driving at night.

That was actually a really interesting experiment.

I sometimes get really upset when a car with that type of lights passes me slowly on the autobahn. First behind me a whole lot, and then he decides to gun it. I switch unnoticed my high beams as he passes me so that he knows how it feels to be turning your mirrors on dimm mode just because a dude didn't align his lights properly. I don't do it regurarly.
The thing is, when you are driving at night with your screen dimmed, your interior lights off and your eyes have adapted to the darkness, and then a small SUV joins the highway, and you're blind ?
