When I start my diesel truck, there's a glow plug light on the dash, and you turn on the key, and then wait for the glow plug light to go out before starting.
Why not have an "oil pressure" light? You turn on the key, and a small electric pump turns on, and gets the oil up to pressure, before you start the engine.
I suspect that car manufacturers know this, and don't install such a thing, because engines would last much longer, and that is NOT the goal for manufacturers.
