I wouldn't mind taking that 2nd gen. off of your hands.

  2. Floyd Schake

so if I buy a Texas or Florida flood car cheap and it last for a couple years that's fine.

  3. Joseph Maxwell

If I got 2 1/2 years out of a flooded car it's not bad. Secondly vw are crap to begin wth. IProbably wasn't even the water that damaged that car. Just normal for the vw

  4. Jerry DeWitt

We have a local car dealership that gets the cars and trucks from Florida.

thanks for the info these are things that people are selling cars don't want heard

  6. Jersey Guy

What about if you dump the car in freshwater to clean out the salt water🤔🤔🤔

  7. Michael Dontigney

I live in FL.. I won't buy a car from the northeast because of the salt used to thaw the roads.. No thanks. I'll keep my FL car and weather. You guys can stay up there in the cold.

Can't a person have his insurance total out a flood car, have that car scrapped, and buy a new one? Or don't the insurance companies do that? Or do they total the car and sell it anyway or have the owner sell it? That would seem like a dishonest thing to do; if so, wouldn't it be a salvage vehicle, and wouldn't a potential buyer have to be notified that it is?

Is there a way to check for this when buying? To see if it will be damaged by the salt?
