why are you screaming
Scotty, I've bought 5 different cars from Rental Co's very successfully. Due diligence is always required. And I've never bought a DCPJ product ever. I've driven them all over 250K without a problem, while performing normal maintenance and replacing expendables.
I bought used from a rental car agency once …and it was a Chrysler Pt Cruiser
AND I FINANCED IT!!!
It had shifting issues that started to show after 2 weeks. It started small and got worse and more frequent over about 6 years until a censor failed in the trans valve body and would stick in limp mode all the time and had to pull over and restart the engine to get rid of it. I sold it as it was for $500 bucks and replaced it with a 26 year old Honda Accord, lol… Oh yeah and the key ignition was breaking and intermittent
if you buy a car rented by older people you should do OK. No sub compacts!!!
Sometimes i feel like this guy bashes things to bring himself more revenue
This is the same reason not buy vehicles that ahvs been uses in the oil fields, lots of them are bought in fleets. They run them for hundreds of thousands of miles, ive personlly seen some run for 12 hours a day sitting in the same place with the ac on in texas. When they do sell them they ted to to pull the dash boards off an replace them with low mile ones and replace the seats with clean ones. So the trucks look nice but are beat to sin.
So how do you know you're buying a used rental car from a private individual who already bought it from Hertz or something and there's hundreds of thousands out there like Scotty says these rental companies order that were self insured with no records on Carfax?
I purchased a used ford e250 for Uhaul. It had 60,000 miles. I have drove it for over 10 years and now it has over 215,000 miles and running like a top. Best van I have had.
Thanks Uhaul for taking good care of my van.
There are a lot of unsupported claims in this video fueled by what ifs. Its probably irrational to assume youll get a wrecked car from a rental agency. And I would assume maintenance schedules are followed very closely in large corporations.
Easy solution. Take it for an inspection.
